Most of the cars will be showcased most at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa, with about 50 cars staged at Heavenly Village, according to promoters.
Free live music will take place all day today and Saturday. Musical acts including Night Flight, Baker Street Band, Flashback, Hindsight and Drought Relief are all scheduled to perform, with Village People closing down the event Saturday night.
Awards will be handed out to select car owners and a cruise from MontBleu around Lake Parkway to Park Avenue and down U.S. Highway 50 and back is also planned for Saturday between 6 and 8 p.m.
"We work hard each year to make each event bigger, better and more exciting than the year before and we're confident that this year will be no different," Tony Marini, executive director of Hot August Nights, said in a statement.
