Beans, Brews and Blues to benefit arts council

The Carson Valley Arts Council and the Wild Rose Inn in Genoa hosts Beans, Brews and Blues on July 27.
The concert takes place 4 to 7 p.m.at the Wild Rose Inn in Genoa.
Music is provided by "Beans" Sousa and the Out of Bounds Band featuring Monique Haviland.
The event features microbrew tasting, wine, appetizers and live music. There will also be a wine raffle and wine wall.
Haviland plays a mix of pop, jazz, and blues. She was a teenage pop star in Croatia, Bosnia, Yugoslavia and Slovenia.
After moving to the United States, Haviland performed in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Denver, Portland and Hawaii.
In 2009 she released her CD "Illumination" and a greatest hits compilation of her European hits.
Guitarist Duane "Beans" Sousa is best known for his recording productions and album appearances. In 1999 he produced and co-wrote songs for Lacy J. Dalton's "Wild Horse Crossing" as well as his own CD, "Into The Blue."
This project consists of vocal selections, with each song written about and dedicated to different friends and associates of the artist including Walter Hyatt to whom the album is dedicated. Sousa lives near Lake Tahoe. As an avid trout fisherman, Beans is often found performing night clubs on the West Coast and making appearances at the Strawberry Music Festival, and High Sierra Music Festival.
Tickets for Beans, Brews and Blues are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
