Carson Valley Community Theatre will hold an all-day workshop on building theatrical sets 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Aspen Park clubhouse in Gardnerville. Attendees will learn the basics of building theatrical sets including preparing for construction, safety, construction rules and guidelines, tools, materials, basic set pieces, and putting up the set at the theater. The afternoon session will be a hands-on workshop of building/repairing/altering some CVCT set pieces. Lunch will be provided by CVCT. Cost is $10 to cover the cost of materials and lunch.
