Douglas County Senior Center offers a watercolor class 9 a.m.-noon the second and fourth Thursday for all levels. Cost, $20 per class includes materials and picture to take home. Information, Lada Trimble, 882-6061.
Vickie Kingman is offering a color class using watercolor 1-3:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the UNR Cooperative Extension Building on Waterloo Lane. All levels of artists are welcome. Call 265-0320 for more information. Cost is $35.
An exhibit of original art by Hans Meyer-Kassel opens Sunday at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395 N, Gardnerville. Meyer-Kassel was a classically trained artist from Germany who made his final home in Genoa. An opening reception is 1-3 p.m. that day. Admission is free. Live entertainment at CVI
Entertainment presented in the Carson Valley Inn’s Cabaret Lounge 6-10 p.m. Sunday- Wednesday, and 8 p.m.-midnight Thursdays and 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The Vegas Road Show delivers music, comedy and crowd participation as they perform a variety of entertainment styles including classic rock, ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, country, smooth jazz and pop today-Saturday. Brian Andrews presents his “King and Friends” show featuring Elvis and the people he performed with. Brian’s history of the King also includes impersonations of many of his friends in the entertainment field such as Dean Martin, Bill Haley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Nat King Cole, Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, Richie Valens, Ricky Nelson, The Everley Brothers and Chuck Berry Sunday-Wednesday.
