Local comedienne and speaker, Kat Simmons, is teaching a stand up comedy/public speaking, workshop 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays from March 19-April 23 at the Annex inside the Carson Valley Arts Council building, 1572 Highway 395, Minden. This six-week workshop is designed to help students find and cultivate their authentic voice, and provide tools to combat the fear of speaking in front of a crowd. The class will culminate with a public showcase where the participants perform a seven-minute routine. The class is $250 and space is limited. Information, 775-721-8864.
