Carson Valley Community Theatre will hold an all-day workshop on building theatrical sets 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Aspen Mobile Home Park clubhouse in Gardnerville. Attendees will learn the basics of building theatrical sets including preparing for construction, safety, construction rules and guidelines, tools, materials, basic set pieces, and putting up the set at the theater. The afternoon session will be a hands-on workshop to allow attendees to put what they have learned into practice by building/repairing/altering some CVCT set pieces. Lunch will be provided by CVCT.
