Let them eat crab

Thanks to the community’s love of crustaceans, the Tahoe-Douglas Elks Lodge 2670 can continue their support of Valley youth and veterans. The club’s annual steak and crab feed Saturday night raised approximately $3,000. “I thought the response was very good. I have no complaints with the turnout,” Exalted Ruler Russ Wailes said. “The CVIC Hall is supposed to only seat 195, and we had 206 people show up, so we did good.” Wailes said all 450 pounds of crab, 16 pounds of shrimp and 21 New York steaks got eaten. “I was really surprised we did as well as we …
