Little Miss Douglas County pageant Feb. 22

The Little Miss Douglas County Pageant is open to girls ages 0 to 17.

Many prizes will be given away, and each contestant will receive a gift.

The competition will be judged by a professional panel of judges and will consist of an interview and talent for ages 6 and older, and modeling party dresses for all contestants.

The winner will receive a banner and crown and all contestant are invited to ride on the Little Miss Douglas County float during the Carson Valley Days parade.

The pageant is Feb. 22 at the Dance Workshop in Minden.

Cost is $80. Pre-register at the Parks & Recreation Department located a 1323 Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville.

Contestants and parents are encouraged to attend the pre-pageant meeting to learn more about the pageant including sample interview questions, how to model their party dress and to ask any question they may have before signing up.

The pre-pageant meeting is 10 a.m. Feb. 1 at the Dance Workshop located at 1697 County Road in Minden.
