Clock strikes midnight on 4-H pumpkin patch

After 20 years of hosting the Fall Festival and pumpkin patch at Lampe Park, Douglas County 4-H decided to try something new. The Fall Family Costume Ball is 5:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the fairgrounds. “The leaders decided to try a new event because there are a lot of other pumpkin patches around the area,” said Shannon Montana, youth development coordinator. “We wanted to go out on a high note and try something new.” The costume ball will include dancing, a costume contest and a bring your own decorated pumpkin contest.
