The Knights of Columbus Bingo on Oct. 11 will benefit the Carson Valley Trails Association.
The Carson Valley Trails Association is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization working with partners to provide access to public lands through a recreational trail system for present and future generations.
Current projects include ongoing construction on a trail in the Clear Creek area and finalizing plans with the BLM for two loop trails in the Pine Nut Mountains with access from Johnson Lane and Fish Springs. CTVA will receive a minimum $1,000 from this bingo. Also for each participant more than 140 people CVTA will receive an additional $10.
The Knights of Columbus Gardnerville council bingo nights provide funds that can be used for local causes within Carson Valley.
The public is invited to come and play on the second and fourth Fridays of each month.
The doors open at 6 p.m. and play begins at 7 p.m. Bingo game packets are $21. Each warm-up game pays $50 and each regular game pays $100. The jackpot for the blackout game at the end of the evening is $1,199. Free popcorn and coffee are provided and other food items and drinks are available for purchase.
