In what one member called ‘a tough decision’ the Douglas County Planning Commission has turned down a request for a senior citizens’ mobile home park. Calling themselves “inexperienced,” members of Seniors Mobilehome Village Inc., presented their proposal for a 425-unit park on the northern border of the county near the Sunridge development.

The Town of Minden voted to change zoning Tuesday in a special meeting to make way for a new multi-family subdivision. The proposed subdivision will be built south of Mahogony and west of State Route 88 near the Carson Valley Swim Center.
