Literacy blasts off with rocket, puppet show

Reading “blasts-off” this summer at Mormon Station State Historic Park.

The Douglas County Public Library is presenting a special puppet show 10:30 a.m. July 23 under the trees in the park.

Youth Services Librarian Kathy Echavarria and guest puppeteer Beth Hyland will share the story of King Gregory’s quest to help his son.

After the show, children will build a rocket to take home. All ages are welcome.

Mormon Station is located on the corner of Main Street and Genoa Lane in downtown Genoa.

Find the library on Facebook and Twitter, visit, or call 782-9841.
