The GE Family Concert Series continues today in Minden Park with Chicago Tribute Authority.
Organizers want to remind concert-goers that in order for everyone to enjoy the show reserved spaces can be no larger than 10 x 10, and no blankets are allowed on the lawn until the show starts.
Concert starts at 6:30 p.m., and is free thanks to the many businesses and organizations in the community.
Chicago Tribute Authority plays many of Chicago’s greatest hits and a few you may have missed.
Since it’s beginnings in 1967, the band Chicago has become one of the best-loved and most successful rock groups of all time, due to their incredible sense of pop-savvy and innovative use of horns. Chicago also holds the undisputed honor of being the only American rock band to chart in the Top 40 throughout five consecutive decades.
“Chicago Tribute Authority performs the classic hits of Chicago and brings audiences to their feet screaming requests for an Encore,” promoters said. “While they make no pretense of being the original, Chicago Tribute Authority comes close enough in their performance to ask yourself ‘Does anybody really know what band it is?’”
Concerts are free of charge due to the contributions of local businesses and organizations. Concessions will be available to purchase at the concert sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Carson Valley, Carson Valley Lions; Club and the Soroptimist.
