The second installment of the world of Percy Jackson will come to Gardnerville’s Heritage Park on Friday with “Percy Jackson & the Sea of Monsters.”
It will also be this season’s second installment of Movies in the Park, now in its ninth year.
Movies in the Park fills up the Gardnerville park, located just east of downtown.
While centered around the movie, which is free, there are lots of things to do, including a Bounce N Play for children and vendors selling snacks.
The series continues with “Despicable Me 2” on July 18 and the final movie of the summer season “Back to the Future” on Aug. 8.
Consult the website www.gardnerville-nv.gov for rating information. Even though all of the movies are rated PG, some movies are not appropriate for all audiences.
Sponsors for this year’s Movies in the Park include Bodywise Physical Therapy, Burger King, Carson Valley Medical Center, Historian Inn (CLE Hospitality), Mark Smith Tire Center dba Les Schwab, Market Café, Parigini Orthodontics, Starbucks, Studio Vogue and Valley Garden Center.
Heritage Park is located one block east of Highway 395 off Gilman Avenue.
