No leads on runaway 16-year-old girl

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is continuing to look for Geolyn Balleza, a 16-year-old Minden girl missing since Feb. 23.

Officials said Friday all leads provided to investigators so far have yielded no information as to the girl's whereabouts or welfare.

Anyone with information is asked to contact sheriff's Investigator John Preston at 782-9909, or Secret Witness at 782-7463.

Geolyn is believed to be somewhere between Douglas County and the Reno/Sparks area. She ran away from her parents' Minden home on Feb. 23.

She is a white /Pacific Islander female, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 170 pounds, heavy build, brown eyes, long straight brown and blonde hair, and a tattoo "Sante" lower back.

Cash rewards are available for information and anonymity is assured. Payment will be made in any manner that the caller prefers.
