The Carson Valley Middle School boys basketball team wrapped up its season recently with a 7-3 record in the Tah-Neva Conference, which was good enough for second place.
The Tigers also went 2-1 in the season-ending tournament, also taking second.
"This was a fun group of boys to coach," coach Kevin Huff said. "They continued to improve each game and were very coachable.
"One of the most exciting games was the overtime win against Eagle Valley in the Tah-Neva tournament. We were behind by two with three seconds left in regulation, one of the players missed his second free throw, another player got the offensive rebound and put the ball back in the basket to send the game into overtime. We later won by four points. It was an exciting season."
Justin Lopez had 112 points, Trevor Pastones had 64 points during the year, Desmond Hinnant had 52, Paul Abawi had 39, Robin Reid had 37, Phillip Lopez had 33, Challis Gallagher had 32, Ian Ozolins had 16 points, Javier Vega had 14, Austin Clutts had 11, Matt Hanifan had seven, Dennis Gingrich had five, Zach Romero had four and Eddie Cabrera had two.
