June Lake hosts Mountain Rescue Association

During last weekend, Mono County, and the community of June Lake, hosted the Mountain Rescue Association’s certification and recertification course for various search and rescue teams.Throughout the weekend, 18 search and rescue teams from across California and Alaska, including the Mono County Sheriff Search & Rescue team, participated in hands-on training in areas such as snow rescue techniques; navigation techniques; avalanche beacon training; rope techniques; litter-medical rescue techniques; and radio techniques.
