Student play opens Friday

Sherlock Holmes is on the case for the Douglas High Drama Club's production of "Sherlock Holmes: A Simple Act of War," written and directed by Carson Costa and Kelsey Endter.

The play opens Friday and runs for two weekends.

"We both love Sherlock Holmes, the books, the BBC show, the American show, and the movies," Carson said. "Kelsey was inspired by World War II, and we're both in the drama program, and have wanted to write and direct a play for awhile."

The play takes place in London in the midst of the Blitz, the bombing of England by Germany …
