Bail is $10,000 for a 32-year-old Carson City man accused of fraudulently obtaining a prescription for Percocet from a grocery store pharmacy.
Richard Allen Painter, Jr., is to appear today in East Fork Justice Court on an allegation of altering a prescription to fraudulently obtain the pain reliever.
According to reports, Painter obtained a prescription Monday at the Washoe Tribe health clinic for 20 tablets.
He reportedly took the prescription to Raley's in Gardnerville, and altered the number of tablets from 20 to 120.
The technician misread the prescription and entered an order for 12 tablets, according to reports.
