A fire raged across a field along Highway 88 just north of Centerville early Saturday morning.
The fire started when a controlled burn was rekindled at about 4 a.m. by wind gusts of up to 70 mph south of town. Dry vegetation burned to the fence along Highway 88.
While shifting winds caused some structures to be threatened by the fire, none were harmed.
The fire was extinguished by East Fork firefighters before dawn.
