A 5.1 magnitude earthquake just west of Coaldale in central Nevada on Tuesday afternoon was reportedly felt in Gardnerville and Carson City.According to the U.S. Geological Survey's "Did You Feel It?" web site, one Gardnerville resident and six Carson City residents reported experiencing the earthquake.The largest number of responses were on the other side of the Sierra in Sacramento where 87 people claimed to have felt the quake, followed by the much nearer Bishop, where 47 people reported feeling the earthquake.Silver Peak, which is 25 miles from the center of the earthquake, showed seven responses, as did Goldfield, which is …
