Born August 11, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to Alvaretta Van Dolman and Charles Sydney Ruppman. Charles has three sisters: Cheryl (Don) Euse-Shricker; Lynne Ruppman; and Carol (Tom) Lund. He loved being a Chicago south-sider born at 65th and Ashland and remained loyal to the Chicago Bears, Bulls, and White Sox. Charles spent his professional career in Peoria, Illinois.
