120 years agoFebruary 10, 1893John Titus of Genoa, who is employed by Joseph Marzan of Truckee, was seriously injured Sunday. He was driving a team hitched to a sleigh to the slaughterhouse, and on the return trip the snow plow had completely filled a cut with snow just under the railroad bridge. Titus did not notice the ties of the track so near his head until the horses and gotten through the pass.
