Narcotics raid nets pound and a half of meth

Drug agents seized 1.48 pounds of methamphetamine and took two Yerington residents into custody on Monday night.

Leslie Posada, 20, and Armondo Bueno Chavez, 40, were arrested on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of three stolen firearms and possession of stolen property, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.

They are being held in Lyon County Jail on $200,000 bail.

According to a statement issued by the Sheriff's Office, a search warrant was served following a month-long investigation into methamphetamine trafficking into Mason Valley, Silver Springs and Mineral County.

The investigation was a joint operation between the Lyon County Sheriff's Office Narcotics-Investigations Division and the Reno office of the Drug Enforcement Administration.

In addition to the drugs and stolen weapons, other stolen property, two firearms and $4,262 in cash was seized during the raid.
