The Bureau of Reclamation announced today an extension for public review and comment period on the Newlands Project Planning Study Draft Special Report from the original date of Feb. 14 to Feb. 28. The Draft Special Report presents alternatives to satisfy Newlands Project water rights and reduce risks to public safety from the Truckee Canal.
