A man found in the parking lot of the Mono Basin Visitor's Center with a gunshot wound to the chest on this morning appears to have attempted to take his own life, authorities said.Mono County Sheriff's deputies responded to the Mono Lake visitor's center located north of Lee Vining at 8 a.m. after receiving a report of an unresponsive man.
