Heavy fog to persist into the afternoon

Moist air and light winds will allow fog to persist through early afternoon in parts of Western Nevada and Northeast California.

According to a National Weather Service bulletin issued today, with lowest visibilities along Highway 395 from Susanville to Minden and along Interstate 80 between Reno to Lovelock.

Visibilities as low as a quarter-mile are possible, forecasters said.

The fog should start to lift early this afternoon.

Motorists are advised to slow down in areas of reduced visibility.

Fog is expected to return tonight through Saturday morning.
