Knights bingo for the Boys and Girls Club of Carson Valley

On Friday, the Gardnerville Knights of Columbus will dedicate their bingo night to the Boys and Girls Club of Carson Valley. Doors open at 6 p.m., and play starts at 7 p.m. in the pastoral center of St. Gall Catholic Church. “Part of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada, this organization provides a great resource to families in our area and donations make it affordable for everyone,” organizers said in a press release. The club is open from 2-6:30 p.m. when school is in session. All children from grades first through 12th can participate, and homework is mandatory during the first hour. “The mission of this organization is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens,” organizers said. The Knights of Columbus hosts bingo nights on the second and fourth Fridays of each month at the Saint Gall Pastoral Center located at 1343 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville. The events, open to anyone 21 years old or older, provide funds to support various community projects and other public needs.Players purchase $21 game packs that include a 3-card warm-up, 10 game cards, one raffle ticket, and one progressive blackout game card. Additional blackout game cards can be purchased separately. Regular game jackpots are $100 and warm-up games’ jackpots are $50. The Big Bucks Bonus Blackout pays $1199. Players can also win big on the Progressive Blackout and Hot Ball. Hot food and drinks are available for purchase at 6 p.m., and popcorn is provided free all evening.
