Commission makes advisory board appointments

Commissioners made appointments Monday to Douglas County advisory boards, but agreed to reopen positions where there weren't enough candidates.

Successful applicants include:

Kenneth Garber, 911 surcharge committee, with two vacancies;

Craig Burnside, Wes Emery, Michael Turnipseed, advisory board to manage wildlife;

Bill Henderson, Lynn Muzzy, Keith Swanson, airport advisory committee;

Donald Frensdorff, Carson Water Subconservancy District;

Karen Holmes, Becky Tapper, Genoa Historic District;

Vicki Barrett, Scott Doyle, Law Library board;

Barb Wilson, Douglas County Public Library board of trustees;

Kelly Gardner, Cherise Smith, Debra Lang, Parks and Recreation Commission;

Commissioners Greg Lynn and Nancy McDermid to Regional Transportation Commission, with third position reopened for more applicants;

Robert Schultz, Thomas Ingham and Kevin Servatius, Senior Services Advisory Council;

Kurt Dreyer, David Hussman, Water Conveyance Advisory Committee.
