CVMS teacher honored by national health education association

Carrie McGill, a health and physical education teacher at Carson Valley Middle School, was recently named Health Education Professional of the Year in her district by the American Association for Health Education.

"Students simply love her, and she lives by her example," said fellow CVMS teacher Janae Ballingham. "Carrie McGill has exuded the many qualifications that make her an exceptional and knowledgeable health teacher."

McGill has been teaching P.E., health and sports medicine since 1998 and at CVMS since 2005. She has a degree in exercise science.
