The R-C Morning Report

County commissioners will discuss paying up to $250 per employee to Douglas County Employee Association and non represented employees who took a 5 percent pay cut in 2011-12. Commissioners meet 1:30 p.m. in Stateline today.

Also before commissioners is the possible approval of a three-year labor agreement with the Sheriff's Protective Association Association. The contract includes a 2 percent pay raise in 2013 and a 4 percent raise in 2014, for a net increase in salaries of $423,065.

A winter storm watch continues to hover over Western Nevada starting Saturday morning. Up to 6 inches of snow is possible on the Valley floors on Saturday, and there's supposed to be another burst of weather on Sunday.

For today, expect mostly cloudy skies with a high near 42 degrees. The wind will be south at 15-20 mph gusting to 35 mph. Expect to see rain on Friday morning with the snow level dropping early Saturday morning.
