The R-C Morning Report

Walmart sent out a press release on Tuesday that they're stocking shelves in the new Gardnerville store and should be open shortly after the new year. There's an employee hiring center in Minden at 1674 Highway 395, Suite 205, or you can go to careers.walmart.com to apply.

If you're headed to grandma's house over the hill this weekend, watch out because there is a winter storm watch starting Friday morning. The National Weather Service is forecasting moderate heavy snow in the Sierra with 2 or more feet above 7,000 feet and a foot at Tahoe. As Alpine Undersheriff Levy says, "Pack for the drive and stay alive." It might be better to alter your travel plans, though.

We should see the sun today, for what it's worth. Don't expect the high temperature to crack 40. The breeze will be out of the southwest at 5 mph as we set up for the next round which should be coming in on Friday. It's 11 degrees in Genoa this morning, so bundle up.
