Pops presents 2012 Winter Concert tonight

The Town of Minden and the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra, directed by Elizabeth Ann Eubanks, are presenting their 2012 Winter Concert on 7 p.m. today at the CVIC Hall, 1602 Esmeralda Ave., Minden.

Special guests include local "Relaxed Fit", comprised of Roland Cambell, Kenyon Jarvis, Jon Rabben, and led by Ben Gillard. Also featured in this year's concert is the orchestra's outstanding trumpet section, comprised of Cole Larson, Rich Sheldrew, and led by Bob Masters, who will be performing Leroy Anderson's popular composition, Bugler's Holiday.

Doors open at 6:30 pm with the concert beginning at 7 pm. Admission is free.

There will be beer and wine available along with a Holiday Raffle.

The purpose of the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra is to serve the community by bringing accessible, quality, music to the Carson Valley.
