The Town of Gardnerville's health and sanitation department is collecting food donations in conjunction with the Channel 2 Share Your Christmas Community Food Drive, which is scheduled for Dec. 14 at the Carson Valley Inn.Gardnerville officials are asking residents to place nonperishable food items in plastic or paper bags curbside, three feet away from trash, on regular pick-up days, Wednesday or Thursday.Town staff will store the donations overnight and transport them to CVI on Friday for the food drive."The health and sanitation staff last year wanted to participate in the food drive, and decided to give it a shot this …
