Donald Jardine, 61, of Markleeville, has been re-appointed to the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board by California Gov. Jerry Brown.
Jardine, a Republican, has served on the board since 2008 and on the Alpine County Board of Supervisors since 1987.
He worked in multiple positions at the California Department of Transportation from 1986 to 2006, including supervisor, equipment operator and lead worker. He is director of the Carson Water Subconservancy District and county liaison to the Alpine Watershed Group.
The position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem.
