Zephyr Cove Elementary School is taking a snow day today. Snow tires or chains are being required over Spooner and Kingsbury this morning, as well as Mount Rose. The California Highway Patrol is handling a slide on Highway 88 at Emerald Bay State Park. There's also a jackknifed big rig on Highway 395 at Conway Summit in Mono County. Chains or four-wheel drive are required over Echo Summit and Carson Pass this morning.
