The Carson Valley United Methodist Women would like to thank all those who made our recent craft fair a success. The UMW uses the money earned from this fundraiser to further mission work within our church, our community and beyond. We give money to the Family Support Council, the Food Closet, Abbey Crossing and City of Refuge to name a few areas in the community. Looking for ways to help in mission beyond our community we give money to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (first on the ground at many disaster sites like Hurricane Sandy) and Heifer International, to name a few.
Many people helped during the craft fair and even more came to browse and buy items.
Our silent auction and raffle were a success because of the many generous businesses and individuals who donated items. We would like to thank: Kay Lacey, The Jewelry Box, Nyona Lang, Russell's Mercantile, Carol Coleman, Bud Brown, Nancy and Roy Liput, Minden Food Company, Grocery Outlet, Carol Lucas, Ferne Bloomer, Battle Born Wine Shop, Cathy Nelson, Tahoe Ridge Winery, The Dancing Deer, Joyce's Jewelry Gifts and Antiques, Barbara Knorzer, Karen Wendling, Linda Hiebert Sekiguchi, MJ Nystrom, Claudia Justis, Marjorie Stinson, Classical Glass, Nora-Gaye Douglas, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Linda Miner, Roberta Wilson, Kathy Chipman Wicker, Jodi Bingham, Carson Valley Inn, Kipo Tetpon-Wales, Peggy Reavis, Hamdogs Restaurant, Bob Onken, The Wild Horse Bar and Grill, the Osborns, Trudy McCann of Trudy's, Carson Valley Beauty Supply, Helen Swenson, Nancy Raymond, the Carson Valley Golf Course, Liz Bricker and Doris Bennett.
