A Gardnerville man is scheduled to be arraigned this morning on a second felony count of driving under the influence. John Herron, 38, waived a preliminary hearing in East Fork Justice Court on Nov. 7. Under a plea agreement, the state will recommend a 3-10 year prison sentence. Because of his prior felony, prison is mandatory.

A blood drive is today at the Elks Point Road Tahoe-Douglas Fire Station at Lake Tahoe. Reservations are not required, but can be made at www.bloodhero.com. Click on "Donate Blood," and enter the code tahoefire, click on search then select a time.
