There are two cases in Douglas County District Court today that have been languishing for a while. One is the arraignment of two Santa Cruz men arrested March 2 in Stateline in connection with a cocaine transportation and distribution ring. Joseph V. Perez, 26, and Oscar Madriz, 25, face trafficking charges, which carry a life sentence.The other case is the continued sentencing of a California man with a lengthy criminal history, who faces up to five years in prison at sentencing this morning after he admitted to a firearms charge.
