Bail is $10,000 cash for accused stalker

Bail is $10,000 cash for a 22-year-old man who is accused of misdemeanor stalking.

According to reports, the alleged victim said Kyle Morgan stalked her from July 1 until Sunday when he was arrested after he showed up at her church.

East Fork Justice Tom Perkins granted Morgan's lawyer, Derrick Lopez, a one-week continuance, and set his next court appearance for Wednesday.

Morgan is in custody in Douglas County Jail.

Reports indicate the 19-year-old woman and Morgan briefly worked together in San Luis Obispo until she got laid off.

She met him for lunch once, but said they were no more than friends.

She said he became infatuated with her, and continued to contact her after she told him she no longer wanted to be friends.

She filed police reports in San Luis Obispo and at the community college where she was studying.

The woman and her family moved to Nevada over the summer, and didn't hear from the suspect until he was arrested Sunday.

The victim obtained a temporary protection order against Morgan which forbids him to contact her.
