Welcome to a blustery Thanksgiving Eve morning. While it was windy all night, the big blasts are due this morning, with a 44 mph gust at 7:21 a.m. and steady winds of between 20 and 30 mph through most of the early morning. We had a light shower this morning, but barely enough to get the patio wet. We should see some pretty good gusts until the wind advisory expires at 10 a.m.
Carson Valley schools are on half day today, so watch out for kids coming home around noon, depending on the school. School's out on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Pretty much everything, including The Record-Courier will be closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving. On Friday the newspaper is closing early. The morning report will go dark until Monday morning. Have a great holiday.
