The RC Morning Report

It rained early this morning down in the Valley, but so far there's no sign that has translated into any serious road controls in the mountains. According to Safe Travel USA the trip to Grandma's House should be a go, if you happen to be leaving now.

Snow levels are pretty high on the mountain today and will stay there today and Saturday. According to the National Weather Service, snow levels are between 7,000 and 7,500 feet. You might find some snow at the top of Mount Rose. There's a winter storm watch in effect for the west slope of the Sierra.

Today's forecast is for a 40 percent chance of rain, mostly after 10 a.m., under cloudy skies. The high temperature will hit 55 degrees. The chance for rain will continue through Sunday night.
