Carson Valley Sinfonia to present free concert

The Carson Valley Sinfonia will present its fall/winter concert 4 p.m., Sunday in the CVIC Hall. The program will include “Two Minuets,” by J. S. Bach, “Shepherd’s Hymn of Thanksgiving,” from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8, the second movement of Mozart’s “Symphony No. 40,” “Lijiang River Landscape,” by Chinese composer, Albert Wang and the first performance of Conductor, John O’Neill’s “Silly Songs for Cool Cats,” based on traditional nursery rhymes.The Sinfonia is a 25-member, student-community string ensemble with an age spread of 11 to 89.
