The R-C Morning Report

Veterans Day is observed today, with the closure of federal, state and local offices. School's out today and the post office is closed, along with the banks. The passes are all open and all road controls have been lifted if you're making the drive back over the hill after the long weekend.

The last road construction in Douglas County is being conducted in the eastbound lanes of Highway 50 between the state line and Kingsbury Grade. There will be just one lane open through Friday afternoon.

The new TJ Maxx store opened at the "Y" in South Lake Tahoe on Sunday morning to the usual fanfare, inlcuidn a speech from Mayor Claire Fortier.

We'll see partly sunny skies and the high temperature back up around 50 today. That high will keep climbing through Wednesday or Thursday to the upper 50s before we get another weather pulse on Thursday night.
