A full-scale emergency preparedness exercise will close the Nevada Capitol grounds 8-11 a.m. Wednesday.
The exercise will involve all employees assigned to the Nevada State Capitol. The Capitol building will be closed to the general public while this exercise is held.
In September, the staff of the Capitol performed an emergency evacuation drill, in October, an earthquake drill was held and this exercise completes the three part employee safety training.
During the exercise, a safety perimeter will be maintained by the Nevada Highway Patrol and Carson City Sheriffs deputies. There will be a presence of emergency vehicles from the Carson City area directly related and involved with the exercise.
