The RC Morning Report

Douglas County commissioners will discuss a proposal to remove the Highway 395 median north of Service Drive. The plan costs more, but it's the state transportation department's suggestion. Traffic patterns after the Walmart's open will determine this plan's lifespan. Commissioners meet 1 p.m. at the Emergency Operations Center, 1694 County Road.

Today is the last day to cast an early ballot. The polls at the historic Douglas County Courthouse are open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Absentee voters have until 7 p.m. Tuesday to get their ballots in. So far, Douglas has one of the highest voter turnouts in the state, narrowly following Humboldt County.

We're looking at sunny weekend with high temperatures starting in the 60s and warming up to the 70s, where it will stay through the middle of next week.
