Tickets on sale for ‘Radio Memories’

Back by popular demand, the Carson Valley Community Theatre will present a follow up of its successful old time radio re-creation show that played to sold-out audiences in 2011. “Radio Memories II: The Fabulous Forties” returns to the golden age of radio with the focus being on the time when radio entertainment was at its peak.The performance will re-create an evening of prime time programming set in the mid-1940s with the performers gathering at KVCT radio station in Minden to present the evening’s entertainment with such shows as “The Bickersons, “Fibber McGee & Molly,” “The Shadow” and other entertaining shows from that era complete with vintage commercials being sung by the Jinglettes, CVCT’s own version of The Andrews Sisters.The show will be presented at the Carson Valley Inn on Nov. 16-18.Dinner and show packages on Nov. 16 and 17 are $30. Dinner is 5 to 6:30 p.m. with the show at 7 p.m. A 1 p.m. show-only matinee Nov. 17 costs $15. Champagne brunch is 11 to 12:30, Nov. 18 with the show at 1 p.m. Cost is $35.The 6:30 p.m., Nov. 18 showing is $15.Tickets can be purchased online at or by calling 866-967-8167.
