Campaign signs stolen, vandalized

As the 2012 election season nears its conclusion, volunteers of both major political parties are reporting stolen or vandalized campaign signs.

Gim Hollister and Gary Kendrick, volunteers for the Democratic Central Committee, filed reports with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office this week about signs they posted supporting President Obama that were stolen.

Two 4-foot-by-8-foot signs were removed from private property at the intersection of Foothill Road and Kingsbury Grade.

Hollister said nylon straps securing the sign to posts were cut, and the first sign was removed.
