Volleyball: Tigers' playoff hopes take a hit

After a resurgence last week with key wins over North Valleys and league-rival Galena, the Douglas volleyball team took a step back Tuesday night, falling in three games at home to McQueen.

The loss pushed Douglas' Northern Division I record to 5-8 with just three matches remaining in the regular season. Carson, which lost to Spanish Springs Tuesday night, carries an identical 5-8 record but currently holds the hammer over Douglas due to a five-game win in Minden earlier this season.

Damonte Ranch also still has an outside shot at the playoffs with a 3-10 record.
