Fall Festival offers cornucopia of activities

Noah Sharpe carefully surveyed the offerings in the 4-H pumpkin patch Saturday at Lampe Park.

The 6-year-old took third place in the pumpkin run and got his choice of pumpkins.

"He's going to be here a while," Noah's mother Stacy said. "He has a hard time making a decision."

Moments later, the proud racer dashed out of the patch with his three-pound prize.

"I like this one. It has a big stem," Noah said. "I'm going to make a face on it. It's going to be a scary face."

Close to 100 children participate in the pumpkin run each year …
